Hannah Kaner’s fantasy title Godkiller (HarperVoyager) stormed to the top of the Original Fiction chart, closely followed by “Schitt’s Creek” screenwriter Monica Heisey’s début Really Good, Actually (Fourth Estate) and Heather Fawcett’s Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries (Orbit) making up an all-new top three.
The category chart saw a flurry of new entries into the top 10, including Janice Hallett’s The Mysterious Case of the Alperton Angels (Viper), Bret Easton Ellis’ The Shards (Swift) and Katy Hays’ The Cloisters (Bantam).
Lucinda Riley’s The Murders at Fleat House (Pan) entered the Mass Market Fiction chart at number one, elbowing out John Grisham’s Sparring Partners (Hodder), as Mark Billingham’s The Murder Book (Little,Brown) débuted in fourth place.
