W&N snaps up Marina Wheeler's book on the future of the EU
Weidenfeld & Nicolson (W&N) has snapped up A More Perfect Union by human rights barrister and mediator Marina Wheeler, who is also Boris Johnson’s ex-wife.
W&N publishing director Ed Lake acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from Gordon Wise at Curtis Brown. The book will be published by in 30th October 2025 in hardback.
"Ten years after the Brexit vote, championed and enforced by Wheeler’s ex-husband Boris Johnson, the world has changed," the synopsis reads. "Like a court order in a divorce, the Brexit deal contains the bare legal obligations. Yet as dangerous forces gather and global technologies stoke animosity, perhaps we have a wider duty."

The blurb adds: "Labour aims for a ‘reset’. Wheeler proposes something more radical: a roadmap towards a meaningful rapprochement.
