Welbeck, an imprint of Headline, will publish a new photographic book on The Rolling Stones.
The fully authorised, illustrated book chronicles the complete touring history of The Rolling Stones to date. Ross Hamilton, editorial director for Welbeck Illustrated, acquired world all-language rights from Damian Treece, senior licensing manager at Bravado. Publication is set for 1st October 2026. Rights have also been sold in France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Czechia and Poland.
The Rolling Stones: On Tour has been written by author and journalist Paul Sexton and “follows the Stones across the globe, chapter by chapter, tour by tour, detailing their evolution from aspiring blues musicians to the biggest live act the world has ever seen”.
The book also contains hundreds of rarely seen photographs, artworks and pieces of memorabilia from The Rolling Stones archives, including tour posters, ticket stubs, backstage passes, concert fliers and more.
Hamilton said: “The Rolling Stones are the greatest live rock ‘n’ roll band of all time. Across seven decades, six continents and more than 2,000 shows, millions of fans have seen the Stones perform, and it’s incredibly exciting to be celebrating that unparalleled legacy with this official book in partnership with Bravado. Beautifully designed, filled with rare and revealing imagery and wonderfully written by Stones chronicler Paul Sexton, The Rolling Stones: On Tour is a definitive account of the band’s career on the road. We can’t wait for readers to get their hands on it.”
Sexton said: “As a fan, I’ve had the thrill of seeing the Stones on stage countless times across the decades, and, as a journalist, the pleasure of interviewing them repeatedly over more than 30 years. So it’s a huge honour to write this blow-by-blow chronicle of the incredible touring history of the greatest, most enduring live attraction rock ’n’ roll has ever known.”
The band said: “Touring has been in our blood since the very beginning. There are countless moments and memories that we’ve shared with fans across the world over the years, and we’re thrilled that so many of them have been captured in this book.”
