Titan Books lands Rowan Skye's "gripping, high fantasy" debut in two-book deal
Titan Books has landed Rowan Skye’s "gripping, high fantasy" sapphic debut in a two-book deal. Editor Katie Dent acquired world English-language rights to Godbound, plus one other novel, via Sophie Sheumaker at BookEnds Literary Agency. Publication is scheduled for February 2027.
Godbound follows Annethe, who is on the run from her all-seeing god. The synopsis continues: "When a failed pickpocketing attempt leaves her with a nasty curse, she finds herself unwillingly embroiled in a murder conspiracy amid the dangerous world of the godbound – nobles whose pacts with gods have twisted them in horrifying ways. But the longer she stays, the more chance there is that her god will find her – and he isn’t the only one looking. All the while, her ex-lover-turned-enemy Calika has made a pact with her own unstable god, and is now hunting Annethe down to kill her."
Godbound is "brimming with unpredictable gods, unreliable narrators and heart-stopping suspense".
