Swift Press signs three new David McCloskey thrillers
Swift Press has acquired three new thrillers by the bestselling author of The Persian, David McCloskey, with the first of the three, London Station, to publish on 8th October 2026.
Publisher Mark Richards bought UK and Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, to London Station and two more as-yet-untitled novels from Caspian Dennis at Abner Stein, on behalf of Lisa Erbach Vance at the Aaron M Priest Literary Agency.
Marking the return of Artemis Procter, London Station asks the question: what if the CIA and British intelligence began spying on each other? McCloskey said: “Working with the team at Swift has been an absolute joy, and I am particularly pleased that the first of this new batch sees the slightly deranged Artemis Procter sent to London for a job requiring both a diplomatic touch and to work closely with her counterparts in MI6, areas that are decidedly not her strong suit.”
Mark Richards said: “Working with David is a true pleasure, and it’s been a thrill to see the sales of his books going from strength to strength; his first, Damascus Station, has now sold over 100k copies TCM, and his most recent, The Persian, was a top three Sunday Times bestseller. I’m so pleased that our partnership will continue, and it feels particularly appropriate that a book about the relationship between the CIA and MI6 will be his first to be published simultaneously on both sides of the Atlantic.”
McCloskey, an ex-CIA officer, will be in the UK for publication and embark on an author tour. His move to an October publication date brings the UK publication in line with the US for the first time.
