Renegade, an imprint of John Murray Group, has signed Natasha Solomons’ “seductive” vampire romantasy duology.
Editor Saida Azizova acquired UK and Commonwealth rights to Blood Goddess on an exclusive submission from Sue Armstrong at C&W Agency. Sydney Collins at Delacorte Press pre-empted North American rights from Ariele Fredman and Kelly Karczewski at UTA on behalf of Sue Armstrong. Blood Goddess will be published in summer 2027 and foreign rights are being handled by C&W Translation team.
The “enthralling and steamy” romantasy follows young Egyptologist Flora Snow, who gets a prestigious fellowship at an Edinburgh university only to discover it is full of vampires as she finds herself in the middle of a heated love triangle.

Solomons, writing as Tasha Solomons, said: “I’ve been a secret fan of romantasy for decades, when it was still shelved in the furthest corner of the bookshop.
Those books are the ones that helped me most through difficult times in my life, allowing me to find solace in vivid alternate worlds. It’s an absolute joy to now create my own fantasy world, and Saida and Sydney and the teams at Renegade and Delacorte have embraced Flora and the inhabitants of Cawdor College with the enthusiasm that dark dreams are made of.”
Solomons is the author of nine novels, and her work has been translated into 17 languages. She lives in Dorset with her children and also works as a playwright and screenwriter.
Azizova said: “Tasha’s pivot into the romantasy space is nothing short of exceptional. From the very first page, I was utterly obsessed with the blend of darkly alluring vampires with spellbinding Egyptian lore and the most delicious love triangle that could give The Vampire Diaries a run for its money.
“This was my first ever acquisition at Renegade and holds an incredibly special place in my heart, so it’s a thrill to be able to announce it to the world. Vividly imagined and with a perfect dash of both kink and humour, Blood Goddess is going to sweep you off your feet!”
