Pushkin Children’s to publish illustrated YA novel by Liz Hyder
Pushkin Children’s Books is set to publish The Teller of Tall Tales, a folklore-inspired YA novel from Liz Hyder with illustrations by Tom de Freston. The novel will be published in hardback on the 22nd October 2026.
Sarah Odedina, editor-at-large, Pushkin Children’s Books, acquired the world rights jointly from Anwen Hooson at Bird Literary Agency and Harriet Moore at Aitken Alexander.
After a period of estrangement, the description reads, a teenager starts visiting her grandmother Oma each month. During each of these visits, Oma shares a new tale with hidden clues to a secret family past.
