Piatkus, an imprint of Little, Brown Book Group, has acquired a new standalone romance and two further novels by Lauren Asher.
Ellie Russell, publishing director, secured UK and Commonwealth rights in a three-book deal from Kimberly Brower at Park, Fine & Brower Literary Management. North American rights were sold to May Chen and Shannon Plackis at Avon. Publication of the first standalone romance is scheduled for spring 2027.
Piatkus has previously published six books by Asher across her Dreamland Billionaires and Lakefront Billionaires series.
The synopsis says: "The book follows two exes who, after ending their engagement, both decide to take their non-refundable honeymoon and find themselves forced to confront everything that went wrong between them – and if there’s anything left to save."
Russell said: "Lauren is a true star of the romance world and it is a complete joy to publish her novels. I’m thrilled to be working with her on even more titles to come and I know readers will adore the romance and emotional depth of her first standalone novel."
Asher said: "I can’t wait to welcome readers into this new fictional world with a heartwarming romance full of hope, relatable characters and a happy ending worth fighting for. I am grateful that Piatkus is joining me on this exciting next step and for their continued support in helping my books reach new readers around the globe."
Brower added: "Lauren has built her brand to be synonymous with comfort, warmth and a safe space for adult romance readers and it’s exciting to see her enter a new era of her writing where she isn’t afraid to explore complex relationships, but in a fun, uplifting and sometimes spicy way."
