Monica Galetti's ‘vibrant’ new cookbook finds home at Pavilion
BBC’s MasterChef: The Professionals judge Monica Galetti will move to Pavilion for Gathering, her "vibrant" celebration of the flavours that have shaped her life.
Ellen Simmons, commissioning editor at the HarperCollins imprint, acquired world all-language rights from Chanel De Yong at IP Agency. Gathering is scheduled for release on 8th October 2026.
Pavilion said the book "invites readers on a culinary journey inspired by Monica’s roots in the Pacific Islands and her global adventures, from the sun-soaked archipelagos of Italy to the bustling kitchens of South China and the spice-laden waters of the Java Seas. In this celebration of flavour, Monica reflects on the rich tapestry of dishes that have shaped her life, evoking the joy of gathering around tables across the world".

Galetti was born in Samoa and later moved to New Zealand with her family where she trained as a chef. She moved to London in 1999 to work with Michel Roux Jr at the Michelin-starred Le Gavroche. She has judged 17 seasons of MasterChef: The Professionals since 2008 and has also fronted the BBC’s travelogue series Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby since 2017. Galetti’s last book, At Home, was published by Octopus imprint Aster, after she previously released two titles – Monica’s Kitchen and The Skills – with Quadrille.
