Blink Publishing, the flagship commercial non-fiction imprint of Bonnier Books UK, has acquired Inside Red Bull Racing by award-winning journalist and author Matt Majendie.
Matt Phillips, deputy MD, acquired world English-language rights from David Luxton of DLA, with publication scheduled for 21st May 2026 in hardback, e-book, and audiobook.
Inside Red Bull Racing is described as an “unprecedented-access-all-areas look behind the scenes of F1 team Red Bull Racing, for one of the most dramatic seasons of racing ever".
The publisher goes on: “This is insider sports-writing at its best, with Majendie taking readers with him to races, team meetings and much more as the team initially struggle to compete, become embroiled in headline-grabbing high-profile exits, all before taking the championship down to the wire.”
The book is drawn from hundreds of exclusive interviews with the team, including multiple F1 World Champion Max Verstappen (pictured), former Team Principal Christian Horner and driver Yuki Tsunoda.

Matt Majendie has been nominated for the Sports Journalist of the Year Awards three times. His first book, Nazaré: Life and Death with the Big Wave Surfers (Headline) was longlisted for the William Hill Sports Book of the Year and shortlisted for the Sports Book Awards. He was also the ghost writer for Sir Chris Hoy’s book, All That Matters (Hodder), which tells the story of the six-time world champion’s diagnosis with stage four cancer and his battle to stay alive. It won Autobiography of the Year at the Sports Book Awards 2025.
Majendie said: “Red Bull Racing is a remarkable team and not just because of the brilliance of Max Verstappen. I’ve been lucky enough to get up close and personal to the star names but also the team’s many unsung heroes. It’s been a privilege to peek behind the curtain to tell the story of a rollercoaster season of turmoil, triumph and refusal to give up in the title fight.”
Matt Phillips said: "I’m so excited to share Matt’s book. We knew that he had unprecedented access to the usually top-secret Red Bull Racing team, but we had no idea of the drama, scandal and white-knuckle racing that would take place this season. If you want to know what really happens inside the pressure cooker of an F1 team, you’ll have to read Matt’s book.”
