HarperNonFiction has pre-empted Limitless: 9 Pillars to Unlock Extraordinary Human Potential by Mitch Hutchcraft. Publishing director Huw Armstrong pre-empted the book from Oscar Janson-Smith, with publication scheduled for 7th May 2026.
In September 2024, former royal marine Hutchcraft set out to achieve a triathlon from the English Channel to the summit of Mount Everest. During his 13,000km journey, he swam through freezing waters, cycled across a continent, ran 900km across India and hiked to the highest point in the world, finishing in May 2025.
Hutchcraft, who previously had a full knee reconstruction, was once told it would be impossible for him to even join the military, let alone complete a challenge like this. In Limitless, he shares "the exact framework and methods he used to turn his impossible into his greatest achievement".
The publisher description continues: "Structured around his nine core pillars, from embracing adversity and resilience, to finding your purpose, Mitch offers practical tools and proven strategies you can apply to any situation.
"Inspiring and empowering, Limitless shows you what you’re truly capable of and gives you the courage to push beyond your limits and start your own adventure. It’s about finding your impossible and making it a reality."

Hutchcraft said: "Sharing this book will be my proudest achievement to date. It’s something I’ve poured my heart and soul into. It’s about the skills and mindset I’ve learned over a lifetime, from my time in the Marines to pushing myself through world-first extreme expeditions.
"These are tools anyone can use, whether you’re in your teens, your 70s, or anywhere in between. Because if an ordinary working-class lad like me can take these lessons and change his life, then extraordinary things – whatever that looks like for you – are genuinely accessible to anyone. My only wish for this book is for the readers to come away feeling like they and they alone define their own possible."
Armstrong said: "Mitch is special. He’s someone who continues to push the boundaries of what we think is possible and what we can achieve. The whole team felt so inspired after meeting him and knew that this was a book that HarperCollins had to publish. His journey to Everest was extraordinary but there is so much more to him, and this book, than just one adventure. I can’t wait for it to be out there."
