Flint Books to publish Amanda Tuke's 'revelatory' journey into Britain's cities

Flint Books, an imprint of The History Press, will publish Amanda Tuke’s "revelatory" journey into the rich and surprising biodiversity of Britain’s cities.

World all-language rights to Wild Pavements were acquired by commissioning editor Claire Hartley from Thomas Cull at Cull & Co Literary Agency.

The synopsis states: "Wild Pavements urges readers to reimagine the everyday urban environment as a vibrant, living landscape. Blending vivid nature writing with urban ecology, Tuke uncovers a hidden world of peregrine falcons nesting on city towers, wild bees foraging along canal banks, and rare plants sprouting between paving stones. From the centre of London to the banks of the Clyde and the back alleys of Cardiff, Tuke explores how nature persists – and even thrives – in the heart of our most built-up spaces. Along the way, she meets conservationists, community scientists and nature-lovers working to protect and celebrate urban biodiversity."
