Farshore has acquired The Good, the Bad and the Ugly: The Making of a Masterpiece, an official book celebrating the 60th anniversary of Sergio Leone’s 1966 western.
Publishing director John Packard acquired world all-language rights. The book will be published under Farshore’s Expanse imprint in November 2026 in collaboration with Leone Film Group and Cineteca di Bologna.
Written by Simon Beecroft, the book explores the making of the 1966 film and features rare photographs taken by Leone’s personal set-photographer, Angelo Novi. It will examine the production of the final instalment in Leone’s Dollars Trilogy, including the creation of the film’s Spanish sets and behind-the-scenes accounts from the shoot.

The book will be published in both a trade hardback edition and a limited edition featuring exclusive photographic prints and a slipcase.
