Faber unveils 'ambitious' raft of Sylvia Plath publishing
Faber will publish several reissues of Sylvia Plath works in 2026, including new editions of The Bell Jar and Johnny Panic and the Bible of Dreams, plus a "landmark" volume of Plath’s poetry and a selection of her reflections on writing.
A 60th anniversary edition of The Bell Jar will be published in February using Faber’s original jacket, alongside new paperback editions of The Bell Jar, while Johnny Panic and the Bible of Dreams will be published with a new cover by Faber designer Sophie Harris.
The Poems of Sylvia Plath, edited by Plath scholars Amanda Golden and Karen V Kukil and drawing on decades of research, will be published in May. It almost doubles the content of the previous edition, Collected Poems. Sylvia Plath on Writing will be published in November, showcasing Plath’s insights into her writing life and featuring content drawn from her journals, letters, poems and prose by the poet Maura Dooley.
