Faber has acquired Napoleon’s Orangutan: A Collection of Miraculous Creatures, a new non-fiction book by Impossible Creatures author Katherine Rundell.
Publisher Alex Bowler acquired UK Commonwealth and European Union rights, excluding Canada, from Claire Wilson at RCW. The book will be published on 8th October 2026.
llustrated by Chris Wormell, Napoleon’s Orangutan explores the lives and behaviours of 12 animals, from Napoleon’s orangutan Rose to pigs and owls. Rundell examines the intelligence and adaptability of the natural world, arguing for the protection of endangered species.
Rundell is the author of Super-Infinite, The Golden Mole and Impossible Creatures. Her books for children have sold more than four million copies worldwide. Impossible Creatures won the 2024 Children’s Book of the Year at The British Book Awards and was named Waterstones Book of the Year.
