Daphne Press snaps up dark romantasy series by bestselling author Elizabeth May
Daphne Press has acquired the rights to a "thrilling" new dark romantasy series from Sunday Times bestselling author Elizabeth May.
Managing director Daphne Tonge acquired UK and Commonwealth rights for The Wolf and the Crown of Blood, the first in a trilogy of standalones – the Broken Accords – with Head of Zeus publishing in the US.
Inspired by the tales of Beauty and the Beast and Eros and Psyche, this novel has been described as perfect for fans of Raven Kennedy’s Plated Prisoner series and Callie Hart’s Quicksilver. This Gothic romance is packed with all of BookTok’s favourite enemies-to-lovers tropes.
The first instalment in the series follows a princess named Bryony who offers blood sacrifices to uphold the fragile accord between demigods and mortals. But when an immortal assassin named the Wolf is sent to kill her, she can’t help but fall for him.
Elizabeth May is the Sunday Times bestselling author of To Cage a God, the Seven Devils duology and the Falconer series.
