Coronet jumps (to the left) for Rocky Horror 50th-anniversary book
Coronet time warps back 50 years to celebrate the anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show film.
The anniversary book, showcasing rarely seen pictures by the late photographer Mick Rock and including a foreword by creator Richard O’Brien, will be published on 30 September 2025 in hardback and e-book.
Coronet publisher Hannah Black acquired British Commonwealth rights from Anna Carmichael and Rachel Clements at Abner Stein on behalf of Peter McGuigan at Ultra Literary.
While The Rocky Horror Picture show initially flopped upon its release, it has since risen to cult classic status, inspiring audiences around the globe.
Photographer Mick Rock – famous for his work with music legends like David Bowie, Queen and Blondie – was granted exclusive access during the six weeks of filming. He said: "I could snap whatever caught my eye, stirred my imagination."
Richard O’Brien, who wrote the musical stage show, reflects on the film’s journey in the foreword, while the book also boasts cast member interviews, production ephemera and Rock’s personal notes.
