Canelo has signed two books from Meetcute Book Festival founder Andi Epimoni.
Editorial director Emily Bedford has acquired UK and Commonwealth rights to two romance novels by Epimoni from Hayley Steed at Janklow & Nesbit UK.
The first of the novels, Lovestruck, is a new magical romance set in a version of London where Cupid’s arrows are real and true love is made – and unmade – by the Fates. The book follows Demi, a Breaker in a family of Archers.
The synopsis continues: "So when her ex – golden boy Archer Gray – shoots his arrow at the wrong person, he asks her to help him undo his mistake. Because this love match has the future of the world resting on its happy-ever-after."
Epimoni founded Meetcute Book Fest, a romance book festival in Hertfordshire that "celebrates the love of the romance genre and helps connect authors with voracious readers in a fun, relaxed environment".
Bedford said: "Packed full of humour, whimsy and heart, Lovestruck had me from the very first line. I adore romances with a dash of magic and Andi’s storytelling delivers this and so much more, creating an original world that is infused with wonder and delight so that Demi and Gray’s own love story shines from the page. I am thrilled to be working with the incredibly talented Andi and can’t wait to bring her writing to romance fans."
Epimoni said: "I had so much fun writing Lovestruck, and I’m pleased it has found its home with Canelo, who immediately got the characters, message and purpose of the book. I can’t wait for people to meet Demi and Gray, and discover the world."
Steed said: "Andi has written such a gorgeous book about love; its joy and magic when you find the right person, but also the life lessons and power in surviving heartbreak, and the value in relationships even if they don’t last. I can’t wait for everyone to meet Demi and Gray, and enter the world of Archers and Breakers."
Lovestruck will publish in February 2027 with a second book to follow in 2028.
