Bookouture has signed two co-written novels from bestselling author Kerry Lonsdale and founding president of the Women’s Fiction Writers Association, Orly Konig.
Associate publisher Kelsie Marsden acquired world all-language rights plus audio from Gordon Warnock at Fuse Literary.
The first book, coming in September 2026, is The Wish List Trip. Pitched as P.S. I Love You meets Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion and for fans of The Five-Star Weekend, the novel follows two estranged friends around the world, from Cancun to Santorini and back again, as they grant their late best friend’s last wish – to spread her ashes at each of the places the trio went on holiday during their 20s. The trip will determine whether the friends will finally reunite or find themselves pushed apart for good.
This acquisition follows Bookouture’s signing of the fourth novel in Lonsdale’s bestselling Everything series, publishing August 2026.
Marsden said: “As soon as I started reading The Wish List Trip, I knew I was in for a treat. Together, Orly and Kerry are magic. Their characters just leap off the page and I can’t wait for readers to meet Zoe, Holly and Anna as they reckon with tragedy and the secrets they’ve kept from each other for years. This novel is bittersweet, tender and hilarious. Kerry and Orly have perfectly captured how special and life-changing your closest friendships can be. The Wish List Trip is a gorgeous, life-affirming testament to their real-life friendship. Get ready to laugh, cry and send snippets to those dearest to you.”

Konig said: “Writing The Wish List Trip with Kerry Lonsdale has been one of the greatest joys of my creative life. What began as a shared love of storytelling became a deeply personal exploration of friendship, forgiveness and the ways the people who know us best help us find our way forward. I’m endlessly grateful to the Bookouture team for believing in this story.”
Lonsdale, who is also the founding VP of the Women’s Fiction Writers Association, added: “Not only am I delighted to be publishing another novel with Bookouture, but I’m over the moon to be collaborating with my dear friend and co-author Orly Konig. Add in Kelsie Marsden and her publishing team, the entire production process has been a dream.”
Warnock said: “We’re so excited to finally share the news. The founding president and vice president of the Women’s Fiction Writers Association are teaming up and the result positively leaps off the page. The old cliche rings true – I laughed, I cried, I emerged changed and I can’t wait for everyone to share in the experience.”
