Blink, the commercial non-fiction imprint of Bonnier Books UK, has pre-empted a "brutally honest and redemptive" memoir from N-Dubz star and singer-songwriter Tulisa Contostavlos. Publishing director, Ciara Lloyd, acquired UK and Commonwealth rights to Judgement from Anna Dixon at YMU.
The book features a series of raw, unfiltered journals written during the most turbulent year of Tulisa’s life, capturing, moment by moment, the downfall orchestrated by the notorious "Fake Sheikh", Mazher Mahmood. The synopsis continues: "In 2013, Tulisa stood at the pinnacle of her career. Then, an elaborate sting operation saw her reputation publicly shredded and her future thrown into chaos, all captured for the front pages of the Sun.
"Rather than crumble, Tulisa picked up her pen. Day after day, she wrote her truth as the courtroom battles raged, as the headlines screamed and as the media and justice system closed in. The result is Judgement: an unflinching, no-holds-barred account of survival, injustice, love, betrayal and, ultimately, redemption. Judgement is her incredible story."

Contostavlos said: "Since I was a child, I’ve been obsessed by storytelling. I loved reading books and writing my own stories. I have always longed to write an incredible book from start to finish – a creation that was all mine. This book means the world to me as I’ve worked on it for years and now I honestly feel the time is right to tell my story, warts and all, entirely in my own words. I am so excited to be working with Ciara and the team at Bonnier to share this book with readers everywhere."
Lloyd said: "When I read Tulisa’s proposal, I knew instantly that I wanted to publish her. I remember the infamous ’Fake Sheikh’ trial well and how unfairly Tulisa was treated, a story that highlighted the bias and misogyny in the press and in our society. So, to give a voice to Tulisa and her story as well as showcase her phenomenal talent as a writer is a real privilege. This is the perfect redemption story for the original ’Female Boss’ and I’m so proud to be publishing her at Blink."
Dixon said: "The moment I opened Tulisa’s manuscript a little over a year ago now, I knew this book was something special. Tulisa has poured her heart and soul into writing this book and it is such a privilege to get to be a part of its journey into the world. I am so excited to have found the perfect team for it at Bonnier and I just know that readers are going to love it."
Judgement by Tulisa Contostavlos will publish in hardback, e-book and audio in August 2025.
