Andy Darcy Theo signs two-book deal to conclude ‘thrilling’ fantasy quartet with Gallery YA
Gallery YA, imprint of Simon & Schuster Children’s Books, has acquired the final two instalments in Andy Darcy Theo’s bestselling Descent into Darkness quartet. Tierney Holm, commissioning editor, acquired world rights to the “thrilling conclusion to the epic YA fantasy saga” in a two-book deal from Safae El-Ouahabi at RCW.
The synopsis of the series’ third instalment The Shadow That Finds Us reads: “Alexis, Blaise, Caeli and Demi return to the Haven, carrying scars both on the surface and beneath. Distrust mounts steadily and the autumn equinox approaches, forcing them to confront the true nature of their destiny, before it’s too late and they are lost to the shadows forever.”
The Shadow That Finds Us will publish in April 2026, with the fourth and final book to follow in April 2027.
Holm said: “Andy is a force to be reckoned with and it’s near impossible not to care deeply about these four brilliant characters.
