Oliver Ponsonby: Space to grow

Oliver Ponsonby, space-planning manager at Waterstone's, thinks he has found his perfect job. He has been at the chain for just under a year and is consistently impressed by its staff's passion for books.

"Every single week I think 'blimey, this is a great job'," he says. "It feels like everyone is involved. It is great to know that I don't need to be here for 20 years to feel like I am part of things and if someone said I would be here until I retire, I wouldn't be depressed about it."
