Set in an unnamed country, this timely and thoughtful graphic novel tells the story of teenage graffiti artist Kat. When her home city is invaded and her father is taken, she does not flee but tries to rescue him. Also featured is Adam, a young conscript struggling to understand why he is fighting. Colfer (above) and Donkin’s storytelling, combined with Rigano’s expressive colour artwork, brings to life the devastating impact of war on ordinary people. It also includes additional content, including interviews with refugees, putting the main story into wider context.
