Give Me Everything You’ve Got

I loved Crimp’s debut, A Very Nice Girl, the story of a young opera singer’s toxic affair. Her second is even more throat-constricting, taking us into another unsettling relationship, this time in the film world. Ruby is an up-and-coming director who has caught the eye of Ellen, a revered feminist filmmaker. Being invited to Ellen’s country house is a dream come true, but she is strangely uninterested in Ruby’s script, instead tasking her with keeping an eye on her unpredictable daughter, Lara. Ensnared in the treacherous mother-daughter dynamic, Ruby tries to please everyone, while starting to question everything.
