Promotions for McKeown and Dumughn in Bonnier Books UK marketing team

Bonnier Books UK has made two promotions within its adult trade marketing team, promoting Zaffre and Manilla Press marketing director Stephen Dumughn to the newly created role of adult trade marketing director, while making Felice McKeown, head of fiction digital marketing, its new campaigns director.

Dumughn (pictured) will take responsibility across Blink Publishing, John Blake Publishing, Zaffre and Manilla Press. He joined Bonnier Books in 2016 from Little, Brown where he was deputy marketing director and his promotion follows the departure of non-fiction communications director Lisa Hoare in January.

McKeown, head of fiction digital marketing, has been promoted to campaigns director, another newly created role, developing strategy for new authors to grow their brands as well as leading campaigns across adult trade.

Dumughn said: "I’ve loved being part of the fiction team at Bonnier Books UK, and the last three years have been the most enjoyable and rewarding of my career. It has been an absolute thrill to watch us grow achieve so much in such a short time, and to work alongside so many talented colleagues and authors on a daily basis. I can’t wait to start working with Matt Phillips (Blink Publishing and John Blake Publishing) and the equally brilliant non-fiction team, and play a part in their incredibly exciting plans for the future."

Adult trade managing director Kate Parkin said Dumughn played a crucial role in the rapid growth of Bonnier Book UK’s fiction business after joining in 2016 said and the campaigns he and his team produced have been widely praised across the industry.

Parkin added: "As we continue to grow and develop both our fiction and non-fiction publishing, I couldn’t be more excited to have Stephen’s input across the wider adult trade business."

McKeown said: "I’ve absolutely loved working with all the brilliant authors and people at Bonnier Books UK over the past three years, and, as the publishing and the team goes from strength to strength, I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to champion our lists in this newly-created role."

Dumughn will report to adult trade managing director Kate Parkin and McKeown will report to Dumughn.

The promotions take place today (18th February) with immediate effect.
