Zed appoints Mahey-Morgan and Biswas

Crystal Mahey-Morgan is to join Zed Books as digital sales and marketing director. Meanwhile Vidisha Biswas joins as sales director.

Mahey-Morgan [pictured] left Penguin Random House, where she was group online/digital account manager, last year to work as a freelancer “specialising in “traditionally hard to reach audiences”.

Zed Books is run as a co-operative, and describes itself as a  “critical and dynamic publisher, committed to increasing awareness of important international issues and to promoting diversity, alternative voices and progressive social change”.

Mahey-Morgan will join the company tomorrow (3rd March). Biswas, who joins from Verso, will start on 20th April.

Jonathan Maunder, communications director at Zed Books, said: “It is fantastic that Crystal and Vidisha will be joining Zed - together they bring an incredible amount of creativity, skill and knowledge which will take our digital, marketing and sales operations to a new level. They are also both passionate about Zed’s collective structure and political values. It’s an exciting time for the company.”
