Yale University Press' UK arm's revenues nudge up after 'year of two halves'

The UK arm of Yale University Press says it is satisfied with its 2019/20 results, following a “year of two halves” that saw it finish with book revenues nudging up 2.8% year on year.

In its financial results for the 12 months ending 30th June 2020, Yale UP London (YUPL) reported total income for the year stood at £7.8m, up on £7.7m the year before. Sales from the production and sales of books stood at £7.6m, up from £7.4m.

Turnover was in line with 2019 at £1.3m, while profits fell from £236,000 to £148,000. Group net assets were £3m, compared to £3.2m the year before.
