Rachel Yeoh has been made an agent after interning at the Madeleine Milburn Literary, TV & Film Agency.
Yeoh has been appointed as associate literary agent, working alongside founder and director Madeleine Milburn, m.d. Giles Milburn and agents Hayley Steed, Hannah Todd and Olivia Maidment in the adult fiction department.
She will start accepting submissions on 8th December and is considering literary, upmarket, book club fiction and narrative memoir.
After graduating from Durham University with a politics degree, Yeoh read law at the National University of Singapore, completing legal internships at Baker McKenzie, WongPartnership and the Singapore Attorney-General’s Chambers. She started her publishing career at the agency as Madeleine Milburn’s assistant.
Milburn said: “Rachel started interning at the agency in 2019, and it has been such a pleasure to see her grow. Her commitment to my list, and her invaluable contributions to the wider agency, particularly the Madeleine Milburn Mentorship Scheme, make this the most natural and exciting next step. I’m so happy for her, and thrilled for all her future authors.”
Yeoh said: “I first joined the Madeleine Milburn Literary, TV & Film Agency as an intern, and am so thankful for the phenomenal opportunities I have been given. I have learned so much from Madeleine, and I cannot wait to continue working closely with her incredible roster of authors as I slowly start to build my own list in the literary, upmarket and book club space."
To submit, address the material to Rachel Yeoh and send to email@example.com.
