Hodder imprint Yellow Kite has acquired a book about The Whole30 programme.
Publisher Liz Gough bought UK and Commonwealth rights to The Whole30: The 30-day Food Programme to Transform Your Health and Your Life by Melissa Hartwig and Dallas Hartwig.
Gough pre-empted rights in a six-figure deal with agent Gráinne Fox at Fletcher & Company.
The Whole30 programme teaches people how to have a healthier relationship with food.
The book will include a 30-day healthy eating plan focused around eating whole foods and cutting out processed food, sugar, grains and dairy in a bid to reset health and eliminate cravings and bad habits. The book will include success stories, an extensive FAQ and menu plans with more than 100 chef- developed recipes and photographs.
Gough said: “The Hartwigs’ signature ‘tough love’ attitude makes this a health book like no other. The Whole30 can be hard going at first, but then they give you the tools you need to succeed, so you can make this part of your life for 30 days.
“This timely book taps into many of the current health concerns we have in the UK, and is no fad diet, but a way to take charge of your health, reconnect with your body and discover a new, improved version of yourself. It is perfect for Yellow Kite and I am delighted to have it on the list.”
Yellow Kite will publish on 23rd April 2015. The book will be published in the US by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
