Hodder's wellbeing and lifestyle imprint Yellow Kite is holding an online author festival this week, repeating its 2015 event to help people keep their New Year's resolutions.
This year's festival, to be hosted tomorrow and Friday (28th and 29th January), will feature live sessions with its authors on topics including healthy eating, mindfulness, parenting, love, relationships and work, by sharing new and exclusive content every hour from 9am to 7pm both days.
There will be videos, audio, downloads and tips from authors including yoga expert Rachel Brathen, parenting expert Noel Janis Norton, nutritionists Aidan Goggins and Glen Matten (authors of the The Sirtfood Diet) and happiness "guru" Sir Anthony Seldon who will be sharing his "top tips for living a good life". Tomorrow will kick off proceedings with a healthy breakfast recipe from Ella Woodward’s second book Deliciously Ella Every Day.
Yellow Kite, set up two years ago by publishing director Liz Gough, has published titles including Deliciously Ella, The Sirtfood Diet by Aidan Goggins and Glen Matten, Rachel Kelly’s memoir about overcoming depression, Black Rainbow, and Jodi Ann Bickley’s One Million Lovely Letters.
Liz Gough said: "Life and work boundaries are blurring, and more than ever people are looking for ways to enhance and improve their health and wellbeing so they can put forward their best self in all they do – whether at work, at home with their family or in terms of their health and fitness. I’m thrilled at the success Yellow Kite has achieved over the last two years, and I'm proud of every author on our list. It’s great to be able to bring together all their expertise and passion for this innovative and exciting two day festival to celebrate our books and help inspire people to live a fulfilled and well-balanced life”.
Online festivals were tipped to grow in August of last year for providing "the best way to forge connections with readers and fellow writers".
