Yellow Kite has acquired health-and-weight-loss book The Sirtfood Diet by Aidan Goggins and Glen Matten.
Liz Gough, publisher at Hodder imprint Yellow Kite, bought UK & Commonwealth rights from Rory Scarfe at Furniss Lawton. The book is scheduled for publication in January 2016, priced £7,99 in paperback.
Sirtfoods are a recently discovered group of everyday plant foods, known as sirtuin activators, which are said to switch on the so-called “skinny gene” that helps the body burn fat, increase muscle and improve health.
The book is endorsed by a range of celebrities, among which are Sir Ben Ainslie, Anthony Ogogo and Jodie Kidd. BBC TV chef Lorraine Pascale called it “a non-faddy diet that offers incredible health benefits and weight loss”.
Gough said: "The Sirtfood Diet is the new must-follow diet that really works. Authors Aidan and Glen fully explain the science underpinning it, as well as how to implement the diet successfully. It features meal plans for the two stages, delicious recipes, practical tips and advice for readers, combined with inspirational case studies of people who have actually done the diet. I am really thrilled to be publishing this on the Yellow Kite list.”
