Worries over Waterstone's


Publishers have expressed mounting concern at the continuing impact of tighter controls imposed on Waterstone's branch-level book budgets.</p><p>
A number of publishers said that the chain's branches had seen their monthly budgets slashed from thousands to hundreds of pounds. One said: "They've been telling our reps that they have as little as &pound;400 a month for books."</p><p>
