Dave Woodhouse is to join Atlantic Books as the indie's new sales director.
Woodhouse succeeds Clive Kintoff in the role, who retired in September this year. Woodhouse worked at Faber for 23 years in a variety of sales roles, most recently as the UK sales director. He will take up his post in January, joining the main board and reporting to Atlantic m.d. Will Atkinson.
Commenting on his new role, Woodhouse said: “This is a terrifically exciting opportunity to join Atlantic as their publishing goes from strength to strength, and I can't wait to be part of and contribute to the next phase. I'll be sorry to leave Faber after such a long time, but it’s reassuring to still be part of the Independent Alliance with all its familiar faces while I step up to the new challenges of this role.”
Atkinson added: “Having worked with Dave for 17 years at Faber, I know him to be a talented salesperson, who is strong on the publishing. His contribution to Faber’s recent success as UK sales director makes him all the more valuable to us. Dave will contribute hugely to our next phase of increasing turnover and profit.”
