Chorleywood Literature Festival and Mslexia have both received prizes at the Women in Publishing Annual Awards 2009.
Mslexia, a quarterly magazine for women writers, won the Pandora Award after marking its tenth anniversary this year. The magazine has over 10,000 subscribers and provides a platform for women to submit their work, seek advice, exchange ideas and connect with agents and publishers.
Sheryl Shurville and Morag Watkins, founders of the Chorleywood Literature Festival were awarded the New Venture Award. The festival is now in it's fourth year despite limited funding and staff. The awards were given at the Women in Publishing Christmas Party held on 16th December in London.
