HBO and the BBC are developing a miniseries adaptation of Hilary Mantel's Man Booker-winning Wolf Hall.
According to a report by Deadline, Peter Straughan, co-writer of the recent movie adaptation of John le Carré's "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy", will make his TV writing debut with the four-part series, being produced by British indie Company Pictures and Playground Entertainment in the US.
Meanwhile there is news that Mantel will write a second sequel about Thomas Cromwell, to follow Bring Up the Bodies, due out in May 2012. The Mirror & The Light will continue Cromwell's story up to his execution in 1540, Mantel has told the Guardian.
