Job losses at talent agency WME/IMG will not affect WME employees, The Bookseller understands.
The New York Post reported this week that about 100 staff at WME/IMG are to be made redundant, mainly in mid and low-level roles in back room functions. But The Bookseller understands this will not affect WME employees.
WME bought IMG Worldwide earlier this year, and both companies are headquartered in New York.
IMG Worldwide is an international agency specialising in sports management and marketing and events production.
WME has an office in London, where the literary division is headed by Simon Trewin.
