Witherspoon to narrate Harper Lee audio

Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon will narrate the audio edition of Harper Lee's forthcoming novel, Go Set a Watchman.

The audiobook will be published by Random House Audiobooks on 14th July, alongside the print edition, published in the UK by William Heinemann.

Videl Bar-Kar, audio publisher at Penguin Random House, said: "Harper Lee’s Go Set a Watchman is destined to be both the publishing event of the year and a classic for generations to come.  We are thrilled that Reese Witherspoon will bring her formidable talent to the audiobook which will join our award-winning audio edition of To Kill a Mockingbird."

Go Set a Watchman was announced in February, when the manuscript was discovered by Lee's lawyer. Written in the 1950s before To Kill a Mockingbird, the book follows the character of Scout as an adult, returning to her hometown of Maycomb to visit her father, Atticus.
