A new Tracey Beaker book and Mr Men story will be published to raise money for Red Nose Day 2009.
Jacqueline Wilson will pen another story about the teenager and Adam Hargreaves will be releasing a limited edition, Red Nose Day Mr Funny book , which will both aim to raise money before the final event on Friday 13th March.
"Comic Relief does such a tremendous job helping those living difficult lives that it is a privilege to be involved," said Jacqueline Wilson. "Tracy Beaker’s life has not been an easy one but I think she’d be one of the most enthusiastic fundraisers for a Red Nose Day event. I have no doubt that she’d think up some stunt involving gunge and a great deal of mess.”
Adam Hargreaves said: "It’s great to be involved in such a worth while cause. I had fun writing the Mr. Funny book and he is certainly an appropriate character."
The books will each be priced £2.50 with £2 from the sale of each book going to charity. Wilson's title will be published on 5th February 2009 and Hargreave's on the 2nd February.
