William Collins has promoted Joe Zigmond to commissioning editor.
Zigmond joined HarperCollins in October 2011 as a graduate trainee. He completed placements in 4th Estate, Harper Press and Digital before joining William Collins as an assistant editor in June 2012.
The publisher said: "He has worked with authors such as Richard Holmes, Jonathan Bate and Tom Burgis, and has brought great intelligence, professionalism and editorial insight into all the projects with which he has been involved. He has already begun to build his own non-fiction list whilst remaining an essential lynchpin to the imprint's publishing."
Zigmond said: “It is a great pleasure and privilege to be commissioning for William Collins – a list that continues to publish the foremost voices across a stunning diversity of fields. Along with our wonderful authors I’m thrilled to see the imprint grow, and look forward with great anticipation to our publication of books such as Margot Lee Shetterly’s Hidden Figures and Susan Faludi’s In the Darkroom.”
