Wiley buys to grow

<p>John Wiley&amp;Sons, the general trade, professional and STM publishing group, has reported double digit sales growth driven primarily by acquisition.</p><p>Its UK subsidiary in Chichester, part of Wiley Europe, increased sales by 26% to $133m (&#163;80m), while operating profit rose by 10% in the year to end-April. The growth reflected a full year's contribution from Hungry Minds, and the acquisition of Guildford-based A&M Publishing, a specialist in pharmaceuticals.
