<p>W H Smith&#39;s travel stores have been outperforming its high street shops at a rate of five to one, and should be valued at &pound;500m, according to an influential retail analyst.</p><p>Nick Bubb from Pali International estimated that, after removing central costs, about half of the total profits of WHS were generated by the travel division. &quot;Average sales per sq ft are around &pound;1,500 a year&mdash;five times as much as the sales density in the much bigger high street stores.&quot;</p><p>Bubb lauded the 210 outlets in railway stations and airports as a &quot;continuing money-...
