White Rabbit to publish memoir from 'rock 'n' roll disciple' Stevie Van Zandt

Orion imprint White Rabbit will publish Unrequited Infatuations, a memoir from Stevie Van Zandt, best known as the guitarist of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band.

Following his time in the E Street Band, Van Zandt refashioned himself as Little Steven, a political songwriter and performer and "hardcore activist". He also worked as an actor on "The Sopranos". More recently, he has founded the "Underground Garage" radio show and an independent record label, Wicked Cool.

His first memoir, Unrequited Infatuations will chronicle the twists and turns of Van Zandt’s "always surprising life" says the publisher.

Lee Brackstone, publisher, acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from Marc Gerald of Europa Content. White Rabbit will publish alongside Hachette Books on 28th September 2021.

Brackstone said: "Unrequited Infatuations is a book with the heart, soul and psychological intensity of a bildungsroman. It is the story of a true rock 'n' roll disciple; an intoxicating evocation of New Jersey life in the 60s and 70s and a portrait of a man whose contribution to the counter-culture – whether as a songwriter, performer or activist – has been enduring and profound."

Van Zandt commented: "I’ve seen enough things that could be useful that justified writing them down and sharing them. As far as my life story? Well I hope this book explains it to me!"
