White Ladder founder Richard Craze dies

<p>Richard Craze, co-founder of independent publisher White Ladder Press, has died of a heart attack aged 56. Craze was also an author, most recently writing the bestselling 'Rules Of...' series for Prentice Hall under the name Richard Templar.
He founded White Ladder with his partner Roni Jay in 2003. It publishes about 12 "practical, quirky" books a year in lifestyle areas such as parenting, health, and home and garden. Media coverage of its list has been extensive. It recently signed a UK sales and distribution deal with Virgin Books, which will go live on 1st November.
Craze was primarily responsible for White Ladder's finance, admin and sales, and sent a popular email newsletter. He was also an active member of the Independent Publishers Guild.
