<p>Caroline Horn</p><p>Picture book publishers have felt the pinch lately: Waterstone's scaled back its range, and international markets have been soft for coeditions, particularly the crucial US territory.</p><p>But while many publishers' response is to cut picture book output, one publisher is refusing to be beat--Walker. "We are still publishing 40 or 50 picture books a year while the corporates have slashed their output," David Lloyd, Walker chairman, says.
