Audio publisher W F Howes has signed a two-book deal with eco-horror writer Joseph D’Lacey.
Acquisitions editor Craig Thompson initially offered for Meat only but following negotiations with Robert Dinsdale of Independent Literary, he also added Garbage Man to the list. The titles, originally published by Beautiful Books, are scheduled for a Halloween release.
Thompson said: “We are really excited to work with Joseph to help bring to life these incredible books in audio. Meat is fast becoming regarded one of the most interesting and important British horror tales of the past 15 years, so to have the chance to publish these titles in audio for the very first time is an incredible opportunity.”
The British author, who previously released titles through his own Phasmid imprint, said: “I was on the cusp of a deal with a smaller audio publisher when Craig’s offer came in. A decision like that is never easy to make. However, I’m certain this is the right way to go, especially given W F Howes’ extensive reach in the UK and Australia. I’m really looking forward to working with them.”
