Penguin Random House has acquired a skin, food and lifestyle book by Wendy Rowe, a "world-renowned beauty expert" and Burberry's artistic consultant for beauty.
The book, called Eat Beautiful: Ingredients, Recipes and Tips for Glowing Skin, shares Rowe's "insider secrets" after 20 years in the business. Her "A-list" clientele includes Sienna Miller, Victoria Beckham, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, Anja Rubik, Suki Waterhouse and Cara Delevingne.
Her "refreshing" new guide, due to be published in June, will teach readers how to keep skin healthy - starting from within - through 70 "easy and delicious" recipes designed to help skin glow. Different recipes correlate to "an essential skin-feeding ingredient" that will help target specific skin problems and complaints. The book is split into the four seasons, to be followed like a seasonal plan, to ensure "all year round" radiant skin.
The deal for world rights was won by Ebury Press publishing director, Lizzy Gray, with Adrian Sington at Kruger Cowne.
Gray said: "Wendy has a wealth of experience and knowledge in beauty and skin health. Her vibrant personality and wonderfully engaging and down-to-earth approach will encourage anyone to try simple recipes and food swaps in order to grow their confidence and help alleviate skin concerns."
Rowe said: "I work with people at the highest level within their field, who have to look their absolute best every day, so learning how to achieve great skin has become a big part of my life. This book allows me to share this knowledge with you in a way that’s simple and gorgeous and easy to make part of your everyday, with a few laughs along the way."
