Welbeck Children's Books has appointed Margaret Hope as its art director.
Hope has more than 25 years of experience in the children’s publishing industry, previously heading up the art and design team at Random House Children’s Books. She has worked across all genres and collaborated with many well-known illustrators and authors, contributing to a number of bestselling books and brands. Reed Publishing, HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster and BBC Children’s Books are part of her portfolio, as well as recent short-term contracts at Faber and Walker Books.
Jane Harris, group publisher, said: “I am thrilled to have Margaret join our team, her extensive knowledge and creative passion will be a joy to work with. Margaret is hugely respected and highly regarded by fellow publishers. illustrators, authors and agents, so the team are very excited to have her help grow and strengthen the Welbeck Children’s publishing programme.”
