Waterstone's suspends m.d. hunt

<p>Waterstone's is not yet actively looking for a new m.d. to replace David Gilbert, who resigned in October.</p><p>Brian McLaughlin, HMV Group c.o.o. and acting m.d. of the book chain, said that the appointment of a permanent successor to Gilbert had "not even been discussed".</p><p>McLaughlin, who put his retiremen on hold when Gilbert left, said the business was focused on organic growth.
