Waterstone’s supply chain director Tim Owrid is leaving the company on Friday (26th August).
Owrid joined Waterstone’s in April 2010 and will begin a new job as the head of logistics at SuperGroup Plc, the retail brand comprising Superdry, 77Breed and SurfCo. Waterstone's has yet to hire a replacement.
Owrid said: “I was hired to turn around the performance of the hub and I am very satisfied that this has been achieved, and I leave it with a fantastic team in charge. I am very excited to have been offered an amazing opportunity at SuperGroup working on its UK and international logistics. I've thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and working at Waterstone's and wish James [Daunt] and everyone else every success for the future."
Other directors to have recently left Waterstone’s include operations director Roger Childs and commercial director Michael Neil, who both exited the company on 28th June just before current m.d. James Daunt began at the company.
