Waterstones will open a new bookshop in Didcot, Oxfordshire, in November. The 2,500 sq ft bookshop will open in the town's Orchard Centre, and will be staffed by an "experienced" team of six booksellers.
The Didcot shop will be the fifth entirely new Waterstones to open this year, following branches in Brent Cross, Glasgow, Rustington and Hove.
The new Didcot bookshop will stock a bespoke range of books, stationery and gifts and will host book launches, reading groups, and family friendly activities to celebrate the written word.
Luke Taylor, Waterstones head of retail and bookselling, said: “We are delighted to be opening another shop on the outskirts of Oxford and are hopeful that it will complement nicely its sister shop in the city centre. Our bookshop in Oxford has an enthusiastic and dedicated team, and it is from here that we will staff the new shop in order to ensure the residents of Northbourne and the surrounding villages are met with knowledgeable and passionate booksellers from the off.”
